…
DLR: After browsing your pictures I came to realize you like to capture industrialized/urban sceneries: buildings, streets, deserted spots, factories…Do you have this environment on mind, or you take the advantage of the elements around you?
KUB: I think it’s mixed. I was always interested in industrial sceneries because they are unusual (especially abandoned industrial areas) and they are sign of our times – like footprint of technological evolution.

DLR: Poland: Offers all you need like photographer?
KUB: If you ask about photographic oportunities or location, then yes – all places are good. We just need to realize potential of particular location. If you ask about possibility of living from phtography – I’m not on this stage of my adventure with photography.
DLR: That unique processing you gave to your HDR photo. Do you usually have in mind the post-precessing before you press your camera trigger?
KUB: Im trying to “tone map” in my mind – we can guess how flattened dynamic range can look like in final image. After month of practicing you will do this automatically with every scene.

DLR: Do you find more attractive the landscapes than for example the human anatomy?
KUB: For now – yes.
DLR: The photography…is created by the own nature or by the humans need for view impossible angles, textures, new perspectives?
KUB: I think Both and much more. Surprisingly its only two dimensional medium with very big potential that we just started to explore.
DLR: Some people likes discuss about the retouching work on pictures… Many people criticize it because the final piece differs too much from the original outcome. Do you feel it affects in any way to your pieces? Do you think people tend to exaggerate?
KUB: Final image is only what matters. I was always paranoid about loss of information, so maybe this is why my photographs are overloaded with tiny details. I think that its important to do what you think is right – I get ton of emails with “tips & hints” to abandon HDR.

DLR: About the HDR. Do you plan on using that very same technique on other sort of pictures? maybe MACRO or PORTRAITS?
KUB: Yes I’m planning smth new, future will tell how it will work out. I have many experimental pictures but i discarded it as unsuitable for audience. I think that HDR will stay with me for a long time.
DLR: Do you have any inspirational figures, artistic movements or references?
KUB: It may sound strange, but im mainly interested in paintings, hyperrealism and surrealism. I like everything that looks unusual, and I appreciate any attempts to extend our vision.

DLR: Where would you love to see your work displayed?
KUB: In Museum of Modern Art, maybe someday, but I doubt it… I think any gallery that displays modern photography will be good enough.

vaya gran fotografo , aplausos
bien hecho man
